DESCRIPTION
PIERRE LOTTIER (France, 1916- Spain, 19877).
Side table.
Stamped root wood.
Exhibits wear consistent with age and use.
Stamped.
Measurements: 60 x 65,5 x 45 cm.
Side table whose design responds to the decorative language developed by the French designer Pierre Lottier, active in Spain during the second half of the 20th century. The piece combines a light structure with a careful work of warm wood veneer, where discreet geometric motifs and a front drawer that reinforces its functional character are integrated. The design is distinguished by stylized legs in an angular arrangement, joined by a central crosspiece with ornamental detail. This balance reflects the characteristic aesthetic of Lottier's furniture, where references to reinterpreted neoclassicism and mid-20th century European design converge.
Pierre Lottier was an interior designer and furniture designer active in Spain since the post-war period, especially linked to Barcelona and Madrid, where he worked for high society and carried out interior decoration and furniture design projects of classical and neoclassical inspiration.
