DESCRIPTION
CARLO HAUNER (Italy, 1927-1996)
Garden set, Italy, 1960s
Stained wood (probably beech), stainless steel and cotton canvas.
In very good vintage condition, with slight signs of use.
Measurements: 87 x 56 x 48 cm (4 chairs); 74 x 110 x 110 cm (table).
Elegant garden set designed by Carlo Hauner and produced by Fratelli Reguitti in the 1960s, representative of modern Italian design applied to outdoor furniture. The set consists of a circular table and four chairs, combining wooden structure with metal elements and seats in stretched canvas.
The design stands out for its structural clarity and balance between functionality and visual lightness. The chairs have a linear construction with straight armrests and slightly sloping backs, while the canvas provides comfort and flexibility. The table, a circular tabletop with slats, rests on a solid base that reinforces the stability of the whole.
Carlo Hauner, active in the field of design and architecture, developed a work characterized by formal simplicity and honest use of materials. This ensemble fully reflects these principles, adapted to an exterior context with practical and elegant solutions.
