The story of its creators is as unique as their work. Robert Guillerme and Jacques Chambron met in 1940 while they were prisoners of war in a stalag in East Prussia. Guillerme, trained at the prestigious École Boulle in Paris, and Chambron, a graduate of the School of Applied Arts in Reims, joined forces with master cabinetmaker Émile Dariosecq to found the firm Votre Maison in Lille in 1949.Votre Maison’s designs stood out for combining the tradition of French cabinetmaking with a modern and functional aesthetic, resulting in furniture with great character and extraordinary craftsmanship.
