Vicente Ortí is Doctor in Fine Arts and professor of sculpture in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Among his many exhibitions, it is worth mentioning those held at the Juan Mas Gallery in Barcelona, the Juan March Foundation in Madrid, the Contemporary Art Fair (ARCO), the Bancaja Foundation in Valencia and those held in international cities such as Basel, New York, Montreal and Miami, among others. His artistic career began as a collaborator of Manolo Valdés, although it is true that he soon developed his individual way of working with materials, with an important creative career in the world of sculpture. He was awarded the Sculpture Prize at the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia and the Spanish Foundation of Barcelona in 1971. First Prize of Sculpture of the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando, Madrid, 1972. In 1980 and 1981 he obtained the Juan March Foundation and the Spanish Ministry of Culture Scholarship. Awarded the Señera Prize by the City Council of Valencia (1982).
