Suspended above the plane, the ceramic forms made by Marina González Guerreiro are arranged like organic fragments in a composition of great delicacy. Their glazed whiteness accentuates the relationship between matter, light and emptiness, while the irregular edges preserve the imprint of manual modeling.

These forms -close to shells, fragments or natural deposits- refer to configurations that the artist has developed in projects such as "A Promise" (Rosa Santos Gallery, Valencia, 2020), where she displays groupings that evoke ponds, accumulation surfaces and intimate landscapes. In that context, the pieces dialogue with the idea of memory and territory, connecting with spaces like Aluche Park in Madrid -a place marked by the transformation of the urban landscape and the disappearance of its old stream-, where the natural and the built coexist as superimposed strata.

Marina González Guerreiro has established herself in recent years as one of the most singular and poetic voices of the Spanish contemporary art scene. Her work is situated in a contemporary line where ceramics transcends its objectual condition to become gesture, rest and presence.

She has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca and a Master in Artistic Production from the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia. She has had solo exhibitions such as Una Promesa (Rosa Santos Gallery, Valencia, 2020), LMXJVSD (Pols, Valencia, 2020), Work Hard, Dream Big (Internet Moon Gallery) and Luchar, creer (Adora Calvo Gallery, Salamanca). He has also participated in exhibitions such as Una imagen que no duela ni cueste mirar (Sala de Arte Joven de la Comunidad de Madrid, 2019) and PAM!PAM!17 (IVAM, Valencia, 2017).
