DESCRIPTION
Genoese bambocci chest of drawers from the XVI century.
Walnut wood.
Measurements: 93x135x63 cm.
The bambocci chests of drawers represent the excellence of the Genoese furniture of the 16th century. They are distinguished by the bust figures carved in round bulge on their front, which replace the classic handles, as well as by the full-length figures that embellish the corners and sides. Our chest of drawers is divided into four levels, with three lower long drawers and two upper short drawers, all with horseshoe shields. The entire structure is raised on claw feet and has a molded base, as do the drawer profiles. Masks, palmettes and sturdy male characters typical of the Renaissance magnificently embellish the structure.
