Carrara marble fireplace. Its design, halfway between academicist historicism and late neoclassical sensibility, reveals a masterful craftsmanship that combines structural solidity and aesthetic refinement.

The jambs, with a sinuous and fluted profile, topped with scrolls, rise with elegant vertical movement, covered with leafy foliage and strings of tulips. At the height of the lintel, shell scallops have been carved at the ends, and in the center there is a finely carved mask representing a classical face girded by beams of sunbeams, a possible allusion to the god Apollo, archetype of beauty, harmony and the arts.

The top of the fireplace is outlined in molded levels, which balance the verticality of the jambs with their horizontal lines. The jambs rest on a molded plinth that accentuates the stability and poise of the piece.

As a whole, this fireplace is a true work of applied art, in which technical virtuosity, classical inspiration and the exquisite taste of an era that sought in the past the legitimacy of its decorative splendor converge.
