Spanish mirror of the 18th century.
Carved wood, gilded and polychrome. Emoglisé glass.
Presents breaks in the glass. With inscriptions on the back.
Measurements: 57 x 41,5 x 4 cm.

If something distinguishes this mirror is for its belonging to the Spanish baroque: carved cherub heads decorate the sides, margins that in turn are embellished by distinctly baroque curves and counter-curves. The rectangular mirror has been worked using the French technique of glass églomisé, consisting of applying gold or silver leaf on the back of a piece of glass, engraving it and protecting it. The reddish and golden polychrome also responds to the Spanish baroque.
