In Nomade, Jaume Plensa returns to one of the most recognizable images of his production: the human figure built from letters and typographic signs. The body appears formed by an accumulation of characters that dissolve progressively towards the lower part, generating a sensation of dematerialization and transit.

The silhouette, frontal and silent, seems to emerge and vanish at the same time. The letters - structural elements of his plastic language - function here as a metaphor of identity, memory and culture. The individual is configured as a sum of languages and experiences, but also as a fragile and mutable entity.

Jaume Plensa has had an extensive international career, with outstanding exhibitions such as the retrospective held at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in 2000.

He has received important recognitions, among them the National Prize of Plastic Arts of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Medal of Knight of Arts and Letters of the French Ministry of Culture. His work is part of important international collections and museums such as the MoMA in New York, the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid and the MACBA in Barcelona.
