Enrique Saborit was born and trained in Valencia, in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos, but finally he would develop his career in La Coruña, city where he would settle some time later. He was a painter focused on landscape, a subject he approached through a personal language of impastoed and loose brushstrokes, characterized by the strength of color and the careful study of light and atmospheres. He was also an illustrator and caricaturist, and throughout his career he took part in official exhibitions, obtaining the third medal in the National Fine Arts Exhibition of 1897. He was also present at the Student Exhibition of the Academy of San Carlos, held in the lobby of the Teatro Principal in Valencia in July 1882. He was also a professor of drawing and painting in La Coruña, where he counted among his students outstanding painters such as María Corredoira. Currently, Enrique Saborit is represented in the Town Hall of Irun and in the Royal Galician Academy of Fine Arts.
