In 1898, at the age of 15, Salvador Tuset officially enrolled in the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos of Valencia, finishing his studies in 1903. At the age of 27, he won the position of pensioner of painting at the Spanish Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. His classmates in Rome were, among others, José Capuz, Tomás Murillo, José Benlliure Ortiz, Moises de Huertas, Luis Benedito, Oroz and Labrada. After his death, the city of Valencia gave his name to a street and a high school group. In 1972, at the request of the Official College of Drawing Teachers of Valencia (who were his students), the City Council of Valencia erected a monument with his bust in the Alameditas de Serranos, the work of his daughter Amparo under the direction of the sculptor and professor of Fine Arts Octavio Vicent.
