Vicente Rincón approaches an intimate theme of deep rooted costumbrista. The scene takes place in the interior of a rural stay, a space described with great attention to the daily objects: humble tools that form an austere and silent environment. The female figure, seated and recollected, is fully integrated into the space, reinforcing the sense of calm, introspection and simple life. The light, filtered and warm, enters through a small window and models volumes and textures.

Vicente Rincón held exhibitions in Barcelona, Lleida, Madrid, Sitges, Zaragoza and Palma de Mallorca. He traveled to Paris, where he met Picasso, Van Dongen and Foujita and was presented in 1930 at the Le Prince galleries. He is currently represented at the Zaragoza City Hall.
