BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
MARCOS Park-o-Phon watch. 1950s. Gold plated.
Round gold-plated case with double crown: one at 2 o'clock to activate the mechanical alarm system (Park-o-Phon), and another at 4 o'clock to set the time and winding. Champagne-colored dial with guilloché inner circle, applied gold baton-type indexes and printed perimeter minute track. Golden dauphine hands, central seconds hand, and additional hand for alarm setting. Incabloc anti-shock system and anti-magnetism function. Domed plexiglass crystal. Manual winding mechanical movement, unsigned. Textured black lizard leather strap with folding clasp, not original. It works.
With original patina typical of the passage of time.
Measurements: 34 mm (case diameter without crowns); 43 mm (length from lugs to lugs).
The Marcos Park-o-Phon is an exponent of mid-20th century European watchmaking, combining a classic aesthetic with a rare complication in watches of its category: the mechanical alarm. The distribution of elements on the dial - with the alarm hand pointing to an upper segment with its own numbering - lends a distinctive air to this watch.
In the description of the watches when it is marked "in running condition" it means that the watch is in operation. Since collector's watches often have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general service, overhaul, battery change, adjustment or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers, that is to say, we do not work with stock photography and that is why the photographs are considered part of the cataloging.
