The Rolex Oysterdate Ref. 15000 is one of the Geneva-based manufacturer’s classic models, prized for the purity of its proportions and the reliability of its automatic movement. This particular example holds special collector’s interest as it features a custom dial bearing the emblem of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, commissioned by the Emirati government for institutional presentation to Army officers.
Military and issue watches bearing the Rolex name represent a field of growing interest within the international collecting community. Unlike commercial editions, these pieces were produced in limited series for governments, diplomatic corps, or military units—a circumstance that significantly increases their rarity and historical appeal.
The Reference 15000, introduced in the late 1970s, represents the evolution of the classic Oysterdate, combining the robustness of the Oyster case with a timeless aesthetic that has made it one of the most prized references among vintage watch enthusiasts.

When the description of a watch states “it works,” it means the watch is functioning. Since collector’s watches typically have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general servicing, inspection, battery replacement, adjustment, or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers; in other words, we do not use stock photography, which is why the photographs are considered part of the listing.
