BID HISTORY

DESCRIPTION

IWC Schaffhausen Mark XV Spitfire "Battle of Britain" watch, serial no. 28737XX. Limited edition 841/1000.
Stainless steel case. Black circular dial. Hour markers with luminescent Roman numerals. Luminescent sword-shaped hands, with a central seconds hand. Sapphire crystal. Fluted crown at the 3 o’clock position featuring the brand logo. Chocolate-colored leather strap with a buckle clasp; the clasp is an original IWC Schaffhausen part. Automatic movement. It works.
Includes a two-year warranty card and a card confirming that a previous repair was performed in 2007.
Measurements: 38 mm (case diameter).

Launched in 2001, this limited edition of 1,000 pieces pays tribute to the World War II fighter plane and maintains the purity of military dials without a date window. The model retains the straight hands inherited from the legendary Mark XI, where the hour hand stands out with its square tip to instantly distinguish it from the minute hand in low-visibility conditions, featuring luminescent numerals. Its exclusivity is sealed on the back of the 38 mm case with a textured engraving of the airplane alongside the edition number.

**In the watch descriptions, when it states “it works,” it means the watch is functioning. Since collector’s watches typically have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general servicing, inspection, battery replacement, adjustment, or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers; that is, we do not use stock photography, which is why the photographs are considered part of the listing.
