The painting is a very characteristic example of Josep Olivet Legares: a lived, daily and serene landscape, treated with a free brushstroke and a sensitivity deeply linked to the land. It sums up his artistic contribution: to turn rural life into a painting of atmosphere, emotion and memory.
His work represents a continuity of the landscape school of Olot, although with a greater chromatic richness. Olivet Legares is currently represented in the Museum of Modern Art of Olot, as well as in various private collections.
