Black circular dial with large luminescent hour markers, Mercedes-type hands with luminescent material, central seconds and calendar window at 3 o'clock. Thick domed sapphire crystal. Triplock screw-down crown signed by Rolex and helium escape valve, typical characteristics of the firm's professional diving models. The inner ring bears the inscription "Original Gas Escape Valve - Ring Lock System".

The Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller ref. 116660 is one of the most extreme technical creations of the Geneva manufacture. Introduced in 2008 as an evolution of the traditional Sea-Dweller, it was developed to withstand depths of up to 3,900 meters thanks to the Ringlock system, a patented case architecture combining thick sapphire crystal, internal compression ring and high-performance caseback.
