Iconic sofa designed by Vico Magistretti in 1973. Considered one of the great icons of Italian design from the second half of the 20th century, this model stands out for its innovative reclining backrest, which allows you to adjust the height and customize seating comfort with a simple, functional motion. The piece features a generous, enveloping frame upholstered in thick black leather, which accentuates the bold and sophisticated character of the design.

The Maralunga, which won the Compasso d’Oro award in 1979, is part of the history of contemporary furniture and remains one of Cassina’s most recognizable models.

Vico Magistretti was an architect and designer, a key figure in 20th-century Italian design. He collaborated with firms such as Cassina, Artemide, Oluce, and Kartell, developing a body of work characterized by formal clarity, functional intelligence, and an elegant economy of means. His designs are represented in major international collections, including the MoMA in New York.
