A painter of precocious talent, Francisco Mir Belenguer trained at the School of Arts and Crafts in Burjassot (Valencia) between 1946 and 1952, although the financial difficulties his family was facing prevented him from continuing his formal education, which is why he considers himself primarily a self-taught artist. He made his debut in 1958 at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Valencia, and after several years of searching for his own artistic language, he finally found it in the mid-1970s in realism. Since then, he has won various awards in regional and national competitions. Better known as Mirbelenguer, he has held exhibitions of his work throughout Spain, in addition to participating in major art fairs, and his work is currently included in numerous private collections.
