Italian-designed trinket tray, attributed to Gabriella Crespi, likely made in the 1970s. It features a distinctive hexagonal shape, with a brass outer structure and an interior arranged in a carefully crafted concentric geometric composition. The combination of natural materials with the sheen of brass is characteristic of Italian furniture and decorative objects from the 1970s, and reflects the sophisticated, artisanal style associated with Gabriella Crespi’s work during this period.
With a distinctly sculptural presence despite its small size, the piece can be used as a trinket dish, a place to empty your pockets, or a decorative element. Gabriella Crespi (1922–2017) was an Italian architect and designer who trained at the Polytechnic University of Milan, where she was influenced by figures such as Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright. She began her career with the “Small Lune Collection,” a series of abstract metal sculptures, and later collaborated with Maison Dior in the 1960s.
