Typically Baroque frame, dated 17th century, combining polychrome wood simulating tortoiseshell with scrolls and auricular style moldings. It is an excellent example of Italian Baroque characterized by its sumptuousness, the use of materials that imitate precious stones and an exacerbated decorative dynamism.
