Measurements: 103 cm (length the longest).
Collection made up of eleven antique walking sticks of different typologies, accompanied by a wooden baton holder for mural exhibition. The set gathers examples made mainly in wood, with metallic applications, details in leather and handles of diverse forms, from classic curved models to pieces with turned, braided or naturalist-inspired finishes.
Of particular note are the walking sticks with zoomorphic handles, including one carved in the shape of a bird's head and another with the head of a feline or fantastic animal, along with other examples with bamboo-like canes, helicoidal shafts and metal applications. These types of pieces, in addition to their practical function, had a marked social and ornamental value, being linked to male attire and the collection of personal accessories between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
