The Casablanca collection was designed by Franck Muller to pay direct homage to classic Hollywood cinema and, in particular, to the spirit of the legendary film *Casablanca* (1942), starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. The watch seeks to evoke the atmosphere of romance, mystery, and adventure of the 1930s and 1940s in colonial North Africa—a golden age when travelers crossed continents by steam trains and propeller-driven airplanes; Inspired by this same era, the Franck Muller Casablanca Ref. 8885 C CC DT is presented as a striking and highly coveted limited edition of just 500 pieces worldwide, establishing itself as one of the most iconic and representative pieces of the Swiss brand’s legacy.
In the description of the watches, when it states “it works,” it means that the watch is functioning. Since collector’s watches typically have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general servicing, inspection, battery replacement, adjustment, or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers; in other words, we do not use stock photography, which is why the photographs are considered part of the listing.
