BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
CARTIER. Must de Cartier, circa 1980.
Circular vermeil case (yellow gold plated sterling silver). Cream-colored dial with black enamel Roman numerals and Must de Cartier logo in the center. Blued steel sword hands and calendar window at 3 o'clock. Fluted crown topped with blue cabochon. Quartz movement. Cartier red leather strap with signed gold folding clasp, in very good condition.
It works. It presents generalized wear of the plating on the case and case back, usual in this type of models, so it would require veneering or aesthetic restoration to recover its original tone.
Measurements: 33 x 32 mm (with crown)
The Must de Cartier was introduced in the late 1970s as a more accessible reinterpretation of the iconic Louis Cartier model, retaining the same classic aesthetics of the Parisian maison. Its vermeil case, blued hands and Roman typography make this piece a reference of the elegant and minimalist style that defined an era. A watch with historical character within the Cartier universe, ideal for collectors or to restore and show off as a vintage piece.
In the description of the watches, when it is marked "in working order" it means that the watch is in working order. Since collector's watches often have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general service, overhaul, battery change, adjustment or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. Nor do we guarantee its water resistance or water resistance, regardless of what is indicated by the manufacturer or the model. All the photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers, that is to say, we do not work with stock photography and therefore the photographs are considered part of the cataloging.
