This small Masriera brooch, conceived in the form of a fruit bowl, exemplifies the continuity of the naturalistic repertoire that made the firm famous within the Catalan modernist jewelry. As a later production of the Masriera/Bagués-Masriera house, the piece recovers the taste for plant and fruit motifs, treated with an ornamental delicacy fully identifiable with the aesthetic universe of the house.

Founded in Barcelona in 1839, Masriera reached a central position in modernist jewelry thanks to Lluís Masriera, who from 1901 profoundly renewed the language of the firm by integrating French techniques of fire enamel with motifs inspired by symbolism and naturalism. Female figures, insects, flowers, fruits and plant forms became part of an unmistakable repertoire, marked by technical delicacy, chromatic richness and the conception of jewelry as an artistic object.
In 1985, the union with Bagués made it possible to preserve the house's molds, archives and artisanal procedures, giving continuity to a production linked to Masriera's historical models. This is the context for this brooch, a small-format jewel that combines loyalty to the modernist legacy, craftsmanship and full identification with the aesthetics of the firm. Its signature, along with the original box and certificate of authenticity, reinforces its interest for collectors of artistic jewelry and signature pieces.
