Bitong or brush pot made of porcelain with glaze "Robin's egg" (robin's egg), which was used from the time of Yongzheng to the nineteenth century, and in China is called lu Jun or "Jun oven", suggesting a relationship with the Jun glazes of the Song dynasty, and was fired in a kiln at a lower temperature than the porcelain itself.
The brush holder is one of the objects that make up the group of tools of the letterer, of great importance throughout the history of Chinese art. They are generally pieces of great quality, made of highly valued materials such as porcelain, jade, etc.
