Artist, poet and designer trained at the Elisava School in Barcelona, Silvia Gubern was a pioneer of the Catalan artistic avant-garde of the sixties, especially for her performances. She was co-founder of the group El Maduixer, with which she held in 1969 one of the first known exhibitions of conceptual art in Catalonia. Years later, in the eighties, her print designs for Marieta and Transtam were part of the birth of postmodern design in Barcelona. Throughout his career, Gubern has exhibited at the Sala Vinçon in Barcelona on a regular basis, as well as participating in several group shows held at the MACBA in Barcelona.
