Brother of the also painters José and Luis Riera Modolell, specialized in decorative painting and landscape, respectively, Isidro developed his career in Barcelona during the last years of the XIX century and the first half of the XX century. He specialized in portraiture, a genre he cultivated with fluid and veiled brushstrokes, very descriptive, realistic style and meticulous workmanship in the faces and more subtle in the clothes and other secondary elements. We know of his participation in the Barcelona Exhibitions of 1894, 1896 and 1898.
