Elisabeth Mabres Boix has dedicated herself, throughout her career, to painting as well as to the techniques of engraving and lithography. She trained at the School of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi in Barcelona and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in her hometown and in Japan, Holland, Germany and France. She has been often awarded, receiving, among others, the Painting Prize of the 90th Anniversary of the Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc, the Centenary Prize of Cava (Sant Sadurní d'Anoia), etc. His work has been developed within an expressionist concept and close to informalism, where, as we can see in this piece, the free and expressive stroke, the stain and the material aspect of the painting acquire great importance.
