It presents wear and faults in the patina.

Processional cross in patinated walnut wood, monumental scale, probably Sevillian or Castilian. The arms appear chiseled with synthetic symbols that could allude to the Ichthys. The cartouche and the gilded metal finials are from a later period. This type of pieces were used in important liturgical acts, like processions, being changed often when there were economic means for it and thus following the new fashions. Sometimes metal and enamel were used to make them, or, when a more monumental scale was required, they were made of wood as in this case.
