In carved and polychrome wood.
The beacon is missing.
Measurements: 56 x 38 x 26 cm.

From the Baroque period, the representation of biblical episodes linked to St. Joseph began to be frequent, having been until then a secondary character in the Christian imagery. In this scene the episode of the Annunciation of the Birth of Christ to Joseph has been represented. Mary's husband was sleeping peacefully when an angel appears to announce the good news.
