Column pedestal from the end of the 19th century

Column pedestal of the late 19th century.
Wood carving, polychrome and gilded.
With shield of the Virgin painted on the front.
It presents generalized wear and dirt. With faults in the polychrome and gilding. The lower pedestal is later.
Measurements: 150 x 40 x 40 cm.

This eclectic column rises on a rectangular pedestal on which the base of the column rests directly. The smooth shaft houses a Marian coat of arms, while the capital is characterized by the presence of large scrolls embellished with vegetal elements. It is topped by a plain cornice. The whole piece has a delicate golden tone worked in some points simulating ancient gilding techniques.
