On this occasion Bordell gives us the image of the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa (Lisbon, 1888-1935), a sad personality whose melancholy is reflected in this work. Using basic, schematic lines, Bordell conveys the loneliness and darkness from which the metaphors that inspired numerous Pessoan versists, and which led the Portuguese poet to become one of the most brilliant and important Portuguese writers in world literature and, in particular, in the Portuguese language.
Quique Bordell, also known by the pseudonyms Señor Bordell, Gato López or Visceral B, among others, is a self-taught Galician artist, whose artistic beginnings are related to the world of comics and illustration. He has participated in different magazines, such as "Atlántico Express", "Con todo Lugo de detalles" and "Lupus Augustus". He also dedicated himself to the dramatic world, taking part in small productions, and to the creation of puppet puppets. His work can be found in the Provincial Museum of Lugo.
