Born in Castro, Marin, his childhood and adolescence are spent among fishermen and stonemasons who transmit him the taste for the sea and art. He settled in 1950 in Mar del Plata (Argentina), although he never lost his link with Spain and Galicia in particular. With a strong artistic vocation since he was a child, he studies at the Escuela Superior de Artes Visuales Martín A. Malharro in Mar del Plata, and takes drawing and painting classes with Demetrio Urruchúa, teacher of other Galician artists. He makes his first individual exhibition in 1964, after having exhibited several group exhibitions since the late fifties. He participated in the Pontevedra Biennial in 1973, 1974 and 1976. During 1976 and 1978, he received a scholarship from the Centro Iberoamericano de Cooperación to study Romanesque and Gothic art in Spain. Throughout his career he has shown his work in the main cities of Spain, the United States and other parts of the world.
