This is a maritime landscape of great evocative power. The poetic port landscape is animated by figures that attend to different professions: porters, fishermen, etc.. The masts of the boats against the sky break the horizontality of the composition and give it dynamism. The meticulous reproductions of anecdotal episodes coexist in the same painting with the general impression of a majestic landscape.
