Measurements: 26 x 46 cm; 56 x 72 cm (frame).
Josep Sala studied technical studies at the Escuela Industrial and La Lonja, both in Barcelona. He began his career in advertising design, winning several awards. He made his individual debut in 1950 in the Barcelona gallery El Jardín, but it was not until 1975 when he dedicated himself completely to painting. Since then he held personal exhibitions in prominent galleries in Madrid, Girona, Bilbao, Sitges, Alcoy, Valencia, Reus and Barcelona. He also participated in numerous international exhibitions in the United States, Japan, France, Belgium and Portugal. He has taken part in traveling exhibitions such as the one organized by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya in 1993, the one of the Pinacoteca Municipal Llegat Francesc Galí in 1992, and in "Homage for Catalonia" in 2000. In 1994, the 22nd edition of the Salon de Mayo in Barcelona was dedicated to Josep Sala as a tribute.
