Seljuk or oil lamps made in glazed terracotta of turquoise blue color. The oil lamps were the most widely used objects in antiquity, being the first source of artificial light for centuries. In each house there could be from a few to hundreds of them, more or less luxurious and decorated depending on the economic power of the inhabitants, but unfortunately few have survived intact to the present day.
