Elliptical dining table with eight matching chairs. Elegant French design in light maple wood. Subtle curves outline the tabletop and chairs, so that support and backrest are defined in a single stroke, characterizing the design by combining extreme simplicity and remarkable originality. The table is raised on semi-cylindrical legs reinforced by a tubular structure that repeats the elliptical shape of the tabletop. The art of economizing and stylizing forms achieved the highest levels in French furniture in the 1920s and 1930s, when it was one of the countries that championed Art Deco.
