PEDRO RODRÍGUEZ CAMPOMANES (1723- 1803).
"Impartial Judgment on the letters in brief form published by the Roman Curia in which an attempt is made to repeal certain Edicts of the Most Serene Lord the Duke of Parma and to dispute the temporal Sovereignty with this pretext".

Pedro Rodríguez de Campomanes y Pérez, I Count of Campomanes. He was a Spanish statesman, economist and writer, Minister of Finance in 1760. He was a supporter of the supremacy of the State over the Church, often called Erastianism. Campomanes was part of the government of Charles III. A staunch anti-Jesuit, one of the greatest enemies of the order, Campomanes was the main promoter of its expulsion.
