LICINIANO SÁEZ HERNANDO (Tosantos, 1737 - Santo Domingo de Silos, 1809).

Liciniano Sáez Hernando was a monk of the Benedictine order known for his work as a copyist, numismatist and archivist. He studied at the Arts College of the Monastery of San Andrés de Espinareda and Theology in Salamanca. He began working in the archive of Silos and was appointed archivist of the monastery of Silos in 1769. In 1790, after passing through Pamplona, he began working in Madrid in the archives of the Countess of Benavente and the Duchess of Osuna. He was a member of the Royal Academy of History.
