Juan Cayetano Losada was a Piarist (SChP), humanist, pedagogue and liturgist. He wrote books on Latin, History, Geography, Chronology, Poetics and Arithmetic. He achieved, by Royal Order of July 8, 1830, that the studies of Philosophy and Mathematics taken at the school of San Fernando and San Antón were recognized by the University.
