Enrique Beltrán Messa was a prolific painter, intensely dedicated to the landscape genre. In this field he demonstrated a great capacity as a colorist, developing a well-defined palette that he applied in pure state or by means of subtle mixtures, to compose vibrant and often stormy scenes. Likewise, his masterful treatment of light and color reveals a nuanced luminism. He held several solo exhibitions, both in Valencia and Barcelona, and also took part in group shows. Despite his predilection for the landscape genre, the artist also occasionally worked in still life (mainly vases) and portraiture.
