Trained at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi, in Barcelona, Raventós furthered her studies in engraving and lithography at the Friedlaender workshop (Paris) and at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. He has held twenty-three solo exhibitions of his work since 1955, mainly in Spain but also in the United States, Japan and several European countries. In 1971 he won the first prize for engraving at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts, in 1973 the City of Barcelona for engraving, in 1976 the gold medal of the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, the same award he received at the International Salon of Marseille in 1983, the prize at the International Textile Biennial of Bratislava in 1987, and the Cross of Sant Jordi in 1991. In addition, in 1982 he received the "Investigació de Noves Formes Expressives" grant from the Generalitat de Catalunya. Raventós is represented at the MACBA in Barcelona, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, the Rufino Tamayo Museum in Mexico, and the International Museum of Fine Arts in Guinea.
