Enric Balanzà studied Drawing and Painting at the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts of Valencia. He has a wide trajectory, in exhibitions, fairs, prizes and representation in collections. Among his individual exhibitions are those held at Espacio 36 Gallery, Zamora 2010; Gallery "Tercer espacio", Madrid 2008; Gallery and Leonarte, Valencia 2008; Gallery Muelle 27, Madrid 2004; Gallery Leonarte, Valencia 2003; Gallery Claramunt, Barcelona 2001; Gallery Estampa, Madrid 1999. Most recent group exhibitions: Sur/Sud,Villa Tamaris centre d'art, Toulon. France 2013; Rosalía Sender Gallery, Valencia 2013; Art Madrid (Estampa Gallery shelf) 2012; VII National Contest of PAINTING Parliament of La Rioja 2011; Gema Llamazarez Gallery, Gijon 2010; Siboney Gallery (Santander 2010), Arco 2010, Ars fundum Biennial of Seville 2008, among many others. He was awarded with Honorable Mention in the VI edition of the Angel Painting Awards; Silver Pampana Award at the LX National Exhibition of Plastic Arts of Valdepeñas, and First Prize Ex Aequo in VIII National Painting Contest, "José Segrelles", Albaida. He is represented in the collection of the Universitat Politècnica de València, in the Municipal Museum of Madrid, the IVAM of Valencia, in the Fundació La Caixa, among other collections. Enric Balanza follows in the wake of those who, from Cézanne to Morandi, insisted on granting time a static dimension. The task encloses a tragic knot given the difficulty of making visible that "cadence of the lasting". The density of light lends an extemporaneous atmosphere to the scenes. The haze blurs the warm southern light and blurs the features. In the interiors, the dreamlike sensation is accentuated by wide chromatic planes that seem to take us into other perceptive dimensions.
