According to the head of winemaking at Bodegas Campo Viejo "In the Reservas and Gran Reservas, every year I try to produce a wine with character and persistence: a great Rioja with selected grapes and a long aging and ageing process". Selection of grapes from different plots in the Rioja Alta. It remains for 18 months in old wooden vats where it undergoes fermentation and stabilization before being racked into barrels. Aged for 30 months in used 225-liter American oak barrels.
