The usefulness of a utensil for pouring wine or beer has been linked to the word ritión since ancient times, however, and more specifically in Spain, this type of object has been associated with the word porrón, being made in materials such as glass and ceramic. This type of object is characterised by three significant details: the spout with a pointed and perforated spout to facilitate the pouring of the liquid, a bottle with a convex base and a long arm to hold it while it is being used.
