Painter and engraver, Pepe Azorín studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Carlos, in Valencia, where he graduated in 1960. Two years later he held his first individual exhibition at the Caja de Ahorros Provincial de Alicante. Since then he has held personal exhibitions in Madrid, Alicante and other cities in Spain, as well as in France, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Brazil and Sweden, and has taken part in numerous group exhibitions, including the one entitled "Figuration Critique" at the Grand Palais in Paris (1988). He has also combined his artistic practice with teaching since 1964. Azorín is currently represented in public and private collections all over the world, including the Ariana Museum in Geneva, the National Drawing Museum Castillo de Larrés, the Salvador Allende Museum in Santiago de Chile, the University of Tampico in Mexico, the National Chalcography and the Royal Academy of San Fernando in Madrid, etc.
