Male portrait signed by the nineteenth-century painter Angelo Zoffili. In the use of fluffy ranges and warm tones in the flesh tones we can appreciate the ascription of the Italian painter to romanticism. This is a slightly idealized portrait, with an expressive look and austere countenance. Zoffili worked in Rome, having belonged to the high aristocracy. His favorite pictorial genres were the courtly environments, portraits and scenes of high prelates.
