Signed in the lower right corner.

Measurements: 50 x 61 cm; 67 x 80 cm (frame).

Painter and scenographer, Sabatés began his formation in the School of La Lonja of Barcelona. He was also a disciple of Salvador Alarma, with whom he studied between 1918 and 1924. He worked for theaters in Madrid and Barcelona, and developed a pictorial work with post-impressionist roots, focused on the rural and urban landscapes of Barcelona. He exhibited individually and participated in group exhibitions and competitions, such as the Spring and National Exhibitions of Barcelona. In 1946 his painting "El Born" was awarded in the V Exhibition of Gracienses Artists.
