Painting from the beginning of the nineteenth century and French school with feminine representation. A young woman with outlined lips and clear eyes looks at us with an enigmatic expression. The bust, framed against a black background, seems to be inspired by the ancient Pompeian ladies in Roman frescoes. The author draws on antiquity to imbue the image with a perennial beauty.
